Did you drop it out of a plane? Must have taken an age to get there.

At the risk of derailing another thread, you really didn't.

I owned one, it was my first car and the only time it it 100 was down a long hill on a dual carriageway and even that was only an indicated 100. Vauxhall give the book top speed as 93, to hit 110 the induction kit must have added 30bhp, impressive.

Mine feels like its going to take off when I get it to 100, and it has to be a downward incline for that to happen.

I never got mine above 95mph and that took an age to get to. Ya might get 100mph going down a steep hill but 110mph is just bollocks imo.

anything newer and in budget, an early Corsa C or Mk5 polo

Would not say it is the cheapest to run. Pretty sure the 1.5D is

It was a very steep hill, and took a long time. But it still gets to 100 with no problem whatsoever

How can it be no problem whatsoever if it requires a very steep hill and takes a long time?

I'm sure you've been rabbiting on about this in another thread.

A 1.0 corsa does not get to 100 with no problem, not really any argument to be had.

When? I'm never on here.
The corsa b 1.0s which i have been in/driven have all done 100mph no problem.
I'm not bothered about anybody elses, i was just giving my opinion.
I will shut up.

you can get a 1L corsa to go 110 mph.. if you say you cant, you havent tryed hard enough. and yes it was down a hill on the M40, outside lane, doing 90 at the top, 110 at the bottom on 13" biscuit tin lids.

Corsa B's = Rust mainly, noisy engines etc. Check the 'B'Pillars and chassis rails for corrosion.

Corsa C- Again rust on early ones, and steering racks/components can be iffy, but not expensive or hard to rectify.

B pillars. Basically when you open front doors and the where the door catch is, that area develops cracks = MOT failure
