Some great ideas!
Really like:
Puzzlesport and p-2-da-uzzle
Not sure they're quite what I'm after though.
I would have bought Puzzlesite right now if the .com wasn't 11k.
Also love zuplez but im not sure people will get it...

Just get the .co.uk and .net, as they're available.
Even if you don't use it, I bet it still gets traffic.

Hmmm, don't know if I'm keen not having the .com...annoying aswel because its owned by a company that more than likely bought it for £9 and wants to sell it for £9k+.

I'll be doing that aswel but purely for advertisement, I hate eBay with a passion. Either way I'll still need a name.
Liking 'In2Puzzles' aswel which is available.

How are you planning on getting traffic to your website? All very well creating one, but getting people to come is another story.

I know what you mean, it's like salt without pepper but not a bad domain to help you with seo, just use it as a forwarder for the sake of a fiver.

But brett is right. Traffic will be a bit of an issue. Ebay is free traffic. Plus to use Ebay for advertising you still need to have products on there for people to buy.
Unless your capable of building a nice looking shop then i'd steer clear. A cheap 'wizard built' shop will not fill people with confidence when buying.
Ebay does.
Use ebay.

I like Puzzleshack but don't like the 'the'...like 'ThePuzzleCompany' is also available which sounds better with the 'The' but only in .com.

Ebay does.
My products will be listed on ebay with a proper template but the margin doesn't make it worth the time after fees etc compared to driving traffic to a website, where the products will be cheaper.

Might go with that for now until I can find something else then use it as a forwarder like you say

Its all well and good having your own shop with cheap stuff, but when the shop also looks cheap it raises concerns with people.
Use ebay to build some client base. When your selling more you'll get them cheaper, thus increasing your profit.
When your at the stage to have a nice shop built then you'll be making even more money from the puzzles

I understand getting the website up and running is the easy/cheap part. I'm hoping the niche will play a big part in attracting people to the site given there's a limited amount of competition. This along with all the traditional methods of driving people to a website.

Why not run both in parallel. Research shows that less than 5% of customers on eBay become repeat customers, they're only interested in getting things for the absolute cheapest price and loyalty doesn't come into it.
