Absolutely love the A1, this looks amazing!
I quite fancy a 2.0 TDi one but they're just a little too pricey
They don't do a 2.0 TDI A1
They do. £20k for the 140bhp Black Edition
That quattro looks brilliant, love everything about it except the price.

£20k 140bhp -
Never really been a fan of German cars in looks or performance, is something way too serious about them.
Agree it's very Fiat 500'ish, 3rd pic looks similar to this I think.

Went to look with my missus, spec'd the 1.4 up to about £22k quite easily!
Nic, one of the lasses that's often flying about in that is FIT!

Will have to have a look out. Normally just see it parked up outside. Stickers make it look a bit crap not seen many if any normal ones on the road yet though

Exactly.
Dare I say it.
Paying for the badge, and everybody goes mad over it. Can't see why tbh.

Audi's are crazily priced, there was an A3 TDi in the dealers for just under £30k.
That said they are increasing sales year on year so they are doing something right, I couldn't believe the price of the RS3 but they'd sold every one before they even got in the country.

Exactly, plus with a hybrid turbo and a better intercooler, it'd be 240bhp and still weigh less than the quattro version.
£20 a year to tax too!

How much is a 2.0tdi compared to a similarly specced version of polo/fabia/ibiza?

Ibiza FR is about £17k list. I assume that'll be similar spec to Black Edition which is £20k.

Can you get a 2.0 TDI in the latest shape Fabia/Ibiza/Polo? The Audi will be the most expensive one anyway, its the premium brand.

Although you'll probably be able to get a decent discount on the Seat. Virtually no chance of Audi knocking anything off their list price.

Audi will treat you like scum and spit on you when you walk into the showroom.

VW don't offer a 2.0 TDi Polo (yet), nor do Skoda and I doubt they will.
The Ibiza is £17,480, but I don't know if that's on the road price, the guide price (OTR) for the A1 2.0tdi Sport is £17,945, S Line is £19,490 and there's a couple of special editions which are nearer £20k
Not quite as pricey as you'd expect considering the Seat!

in that case why pay as much as you did for your mini when a shitty old nissan micra would've done the same job?

If you go through Orange wheels you can get a good discount. All they do is set up the initial contact then after that you deal direct with an Audi dealer. My Dads done it with his A3 Black Edition and dealt with Birmingham Audi. They bring the car to you on the back of a wagon if you aren't near the dealer.
Having said that I don't know if the A1 gets a good discount or not, basing that on when I was looking at a Black Edition A3 and my local dealer wouldn't knock any money off but Birmingham Audi through Orange wheels would do exactly the same car about 4 grand cheaper
