I thought it changed from 35 to 25 ages ago but some pubs can still do 35. Every bar I've worked in over the last 8 years has been 25ml

I looked at a few pages there and it looks like it is up to the bar owner to decide whether they serve 25 or 35ml, either is legal in the UK. Perhaps it is just the norm in NI for larger measures, but certain places in England do the same?

I only ever served 35ml shots in the restaurant I ran and all the pubs round here serve 35ml.thought everyone put it up to bring the number of units into line

Restaurants etc can benefit from selling the 35ml shot because they become known for generous measures. If a club in the centre of town becomes known for selling generous measures they end up a spot for trouble. I can see why it's good for the licensee to have an option
