Thanks lads
I cant decide whether to leave it how it looks or to get a GSi kit for it ?
24/8/11
Made this strut brace at the weekend, did buy an OMP one but found it would`nt fit over the inlet so chopped it up and used the turret pieces as a base:
Think my welding skills are improving too
15/9/11
Finally got the logbook back from the dvla today, so its now taxed and on the road all legit
Started to put some miles on it but the engine seemed to smoking on start up and it turned out it was burning oil on two cylinders. I first thought it might just be the turbo as the engine was bought without seeing it run.
Long story short ended up taking the head off to find pistons 3 and 4 swimming in oil and they had all been fitted the wrong way round!
Sparkplugs 1 and 2 looked like this:
3 and 4 looked like this:
Took the pistons back out and refitted the right way round.
Pistons back in the right way round:
The problem turned out to be the expander part of the oil control rings was broken
Where the red and green painted bits are, the ends are ment to butt up against each other, but instead they where just sliding underneath, so werent doing the job.
Ment to look like this:
So its all fixed and running mint now, just need to get more miles on it and get some trackdays booked
Thanks for reading and any comments welcome

Had a great day at Oulton Park yesterday, track started out very icey but got better and better throughout the day, was near perfect towards the end.
Car ran really well, brakes took a hammering and melted the paint off the rear drums, so need to sort an upgrade out before next time
Tyres need changing too, didnt like the feel they where giving, which I think is down to them being a 50 profile, should of got 45, grip was ok tho.
Boost needs setting up as it was a tad too high so was getting fuel cut quite often
Few pics, on track ones to follow,

Corsa C rear disc conversion:
Discs are 240mm diameter, piston is 34mm and the calipers are aluminium
Remove complete drum and stub axle:
Bolt in C disc brake stub axle, making sure you get the right side as they are handed
Fit wheel bearing/Hub, tighten 27mm nut to FT, attach disc, caliper carrier and caliper:
Next step is to weld on the handbrake cable guide sleeves, connect the cable to the B handbrake lever and make up new short pipes from the existing flexi`s to the caliper:
Will be doing that tomorow I think.
Then will be a test drive to see how the bias is and then brand new discs and pads will be bought

Col approved ?
Keeping it standard bodywork wise as its cheaper to fix if I happen to crash it
Although I do have access to quite a wild body kit with a one piece fibreglass front end but that would mean going to 17" wheels for it to look right..

Interested in the rear disc conversion you have done, does the C stub axle bolt straight on? Is the bearing bigger than a B?
Cheers

Yep the C stub axle just bolts straight on, no messing with conversion plates
The bearing is bigger and better than the B as its non adjustable, only downside is, they are quite expensive to replace.
