FPS are meant to be much easier with a mouse.

COD and Battlefield are both easier with a mouse. So much quicker to aim. Movement takes a bit of getting used to though.

fps need to be played with a mouse, you soon get used to it with an xbox though.

couldn't imagine playing counter-strike with a xbox or ps3 (lol) controller

HDMI should be better as digital signals cant get worse, where as component can lose some quality. Both can do 1080p though.

How have you got the display settings on the Xbox and what screen are you using?

HDMI should be as good/better than component.

Hdmi is much better than component on Xbox on my tv.
Also, I went from 360 to ps3 to 360 again. Had my launch day 360 for 4 years and it never broke once, ps3 broke 2 or 3 months out of warranty

It's an lg 32" LCD tv. It's set on 720p as it only does 1080i as its an old tv. Picture looked a lot more colourful on component?

Have you got the display settings on the tv the same for hdmi as you do for component? Ie game mode/natural/dynamic or different contrast/brightness etc.
