will just keep an eye out local tbh
steve we used a 250 quid welder for my cage, only issue was it was windy and the wind was blowing the gas away so a few welds arent that neat

Gas is ok outside, juwt turn the reg up a bit and shield where your welding

Yes. I did the spreader plates on mine. Also done a few strengthen plate kits with it. But if you're doing a full on weld in job you want a big ass mig that you can rent for a day.
