Me and two friends stopped at every little chef we past on the way to Cornwall once.

Fucking love chips & beans, then a pancake for dessert.

Haven't been in one for years though.

They've just spent the last couple of years re-branding as well and putting it across they're cafes, so they wasted even more money!

Won't miss them tbh. £7.50 for a breakfast then getting charged extra for some toast, took the piss.

About 4 years ago the last time for me, was on the way to an airport and needed a wee, went to little chef instead of petrol station as theirs were out of order.

Ended up having egg and bacon etc, was abolutely terrible, ate about half.

I thought they had gone bust years ago too. The 2 near me stopped trading years ago now.

Doesn't matter, I never go to these kind of places. Little Chef, Mcdonalds etc. it's all dog shite food.

My work supplies them

Never heard anything about the ones up here closing and the ones I deliver to (A9 north and south bound) are constantly busy. They buy a shit load of produce as well.

Unless you grow organic crops and keep your own livestock, the majority of the shite we consume is of the same ilk.

A pub lunch tastes a lot nicer than a McDonalds/Little Chef. Actually fills you up too!

Not hard to find a village or town nearby. You're never that far from somewhere, at least in England anyway.

TBH I wouldn't get myself in a situation where I had to go to eat at a service station, same as I never have to get petrol from a service station. Plan ahead. Think we may have gone a bit off topic now

Based on the daily allowance for a woman.

One Mc Tasty with bacon is 900 calories (45%) 51g protein (68%) 55g fat (82%) 49g carbs (18%) 3.4g salt (68%)

Large fries - 460 calories (23%) - 5g protein (7%) - 23g fat (34%)- 60g carb (22%) - 0.9g salt (18%)

Large milk shake 500 calories (25%) - 13g protein (17%) - 10g fat (15%) - 86g carbs (31%) - 0.9g salt (18%)

One large meal at Mc Donalds is - 1860 calories (93%)
69g protein - (100%)
88g fat - (131%)
195g carbs (71%)
5.2g salt (104%)

Why I don't eat fast food at all anymore, haven't for about 5+ years.
Might as well just order a slab of dried fat

They can't beat a greasy spoon, they overcharge for a mediocre breakfast. Sink or swim nowadays, they don't don't breast stroke.
