Off to view one this morning having finally sorted my finances out and deciding I really want one of these more than a 3 series or A4. Same place as the one posted at the top of the page coincidentally, fingers crossed its all ok. http://www.burnagemotors.co.uk/used-cars/alfa-romeo-159-1-9-jtdm-16v-ti-4dr-stockport-201226476815309

Deposit left, finalising finance details tomorrow then should be picking it up on Saturday. Don't think it's vauxhall engine, it's a nice drive and pretty immaculate so I'm well pleased

That's good to hear Munchie they've got a load of cars doubt they'll remember!
They definitely depreciate quick which is good for me right now, just hoping its not a Friday car! Checked l stuff on buyer guide and done full hpi and all seems pretty legit!

What does that mean? It had outstanding finance when you bought it or what? I've done a full Hpi and there's nothing owing on it?

Think brembo's are standard yeah, seem to work pretty well. Checked for brake judder too (as common thing on these) and couldn't feel anything. They also have some odd geometry issue that does the tyres in in no time at all, so will be getting that checked asap, tyres all look ok though and it's meant to make the car tramline easily (which it didn't) so may be ok.

Had finance brokers on this morning giving me all sorts of nonesense about not being able to place this with any of the mainstream finance companies. I passed at an accceptable rate on a similarly priced 3 series last week (to see if I could get finance). Got the feeling they are trying to increase their slice of the pie tbh, he's off looking at options now (that aren't increasing the stated monthly payments by 50%)

Arrange your own finance.
Try closed motor finance, Ive used them before and recommend them.

Cheers Colin, I think we've finished our merry dance now though!
He's within £8 of what they said originally which'll do me. Just sorting with dealer now

if you can't buy it outright with crisp new notes, you can't afford it.
