Human and above the law.
Perform tests on a test track. Not public roads where he could have killed someone

As mentioned if that was a young person driving that they'd be lucky to avoid jail, fucking ice, honestly

Police shouldnt be crashing on ice tbh. If they can't read that the road may be icy how can you have confidence in them doing 100mph in a 30 in traffic.

It will have had lights etc. Manufacturers kit the cars out and pass them round the different forces.

So an interceptor, who are suppose to be 'elite' drivers and are trained to drive at high speed. Which is what they say when they pull young people over on the tv shows. Lost control of a car because it was icy?

Drive like a tool, whether a cop or not, and face the consequences is my view.
I, like many of my colleagues, have an interest in fast cars, and enjoy driving. I regularly exceed speed limits whilst on blue light runs and following vehicles. I, however, drive with safety as my priority, rather than speed. If i get to a job a minute behind a colleague because of this, so be it. I would rather get there safely than not.
Whoever was driving that Golf was clearly not safe, or they wouldnt have crashed. I have always said speed itself doesnt kill, it's inappropriate speed that kills (the sudden stopping usually contributes tho!). If the driver is prosecuted, its no ones fault but their own.
The CPS will make an example of him. Likely outcome is driving without due care i would think - 3 points, fine, points on police driving permit. I would imagine that officer is currently banned from all Police driving pending re-assessment, which is pointless, as no-one drives like normal whilst under observation/assessment. Asky yourself if you drive now exactly as you did on your lessons or test?

Bet he thought he was the man when he was driving that round at high speed before writing it off, stupid pig. If it was one of us that had done it we would be up for dangerous driving and possibly losing our licence. One rule for one, another for everyone else.

Are you thick or just cant read? The PC has had NIPs and will be prosecuted, in fact anything like this is prosecuted alot more than if it were joe public. Likelihood is they will go for dangerous driving, and CPS will drop to careless/due care and he will get the punishment. Nowhere does it say they wont prosecute, and no-one knows the facts of the incident. For all we know, he could have swerved to avoid a deer / badger / kid and rolled. Who knows. The facts are presented to the CPS who decide if to prosecute or not

If I told a copper I swerved to avoid a fox I think I'd just get laughed at, so should be the same for the copper. It's the oldest excuse in the book.
