Even if the guy wanted to give me the red one for £3k, i would still need to fit my opther seat or remove the on in it now, fix the belts and then find a buyer. In winter.

Doubt i could do it fast enough

I'd go for the red one if that's the one you wanted in the first place.

You looked hard enough for one and now you have the chance of getting it, if you pass it up every time you see one you'll kick yourself for not snapping that one up.

Go for the red one.

Red looks best, plus if your seeing stuff on the black ones that's annoying you now, it will always annoy you unless you spend money on it.

Get it bought

Im surprised people are saying red is the best, i've been on a few bm forums and the E36s were never really liked in red, although at times they do look lovely.

I personally would stick with the black one, you know it's mechanically fine which is a big factor and imo you cant beat a shiney black M3. Yours looks fine to me, get those E46 seats finally fitted and then the interior will be fine, get a hardtop so you dont need to fix the rear window, headlights are about £20 a pair and very easy to come across a clean set. Im sure once you've sorted the few niggles you will love it!

sometimes its better the devil you know and you'd be better just keeping the project you started to save you doing all the niggly common bits again

Yes Dan same one

Seen a silver one and an estoril one now that both are immaculate and have less miles than mine!

Problem with the red one is it's a 14billion hour drive from me. Practicaly lands end to John o groatss

I can't understand how it's still for sale maybe the location!

I'd have bought it had someone bought my Golf but giving up now and spending it on a holiday!

It's nice Jambo but so is yours, E46 M3 seats in the red one, loose the wood and be awesome!

Could come up on train, buy it, kip at mine and drive back next day!

Red is the best ;-)

It does sound like alot of hassle for the sake of a red car, but do whatever you initially feel is best, I've always done that & so far it's worked

Its been for sale for several months now Graham before you got your E46, I've been after it for some time but can't sell my car.

Dealer is local but had never heard of them until I seen this, and they have a lot of exotic / performance cars which is rare for this area.

Apart from eBay and PistonHeads I don't think they advertise anywhere.

Fella I work with used to live in (near) Brampton and hadn't heard of them either.

If you knew could shift yours no problem I'd say buy it but they don't seem to be selling, I've been looking for months and same ones are still for sale now as were in Oct / Nov etc.
