i'd go forward 10000 years to get some infinite youth serum, then go back 10100 years and release every song that ever made decent money under my own brand

This assumes you FULLY understand how everything works.

I'd bet that 99% of people (myself included!) couldn't re-invent anything anyway due to having little clue how stuff works.

I mean electronics, try inventing the circuit board all over again. Or touchscreens. On your own (because no one else will understand it either).

making the circuit board from scratch, probably could make the solar panel but dont need to so not bothering.
i doubt i could develop an iphone from scratch though.

so, id go back 50 years with an ipad, iphone, some htc's and a macbook pro.
maybe a small lcd tv.
that should fit in a suitcase and contain enough technology to reverse engineer and invent most electrical stuff.
the easier option is to go back a year with the £100m euromillions numbers for a draw no one won

Neither really appeal!

I can't imagine the 1500's being a nice place to be. I also don't think 500 years in the future will be all too nice either.
