I dropped my wallet out of my pocket as I sat in my car in the carpark at work once. Someone found it, handed it in, but swiped £40 that was in it, which is fair enough. I didn't have the inconvenience of cancelling my cards and stuff, so I can't really grumble.

First day of my holiday to Orlando I left my wallet with $400 in it at an outlet store. Luckily some kind person handed it in without opening it. Probably a member of staff I guess.

Also when my dog was a puppy my Dad was out walking it and the lead slipped from his hand. My dog bolted off and the more my Dad gave chase the more my dog thought it was a game so kept running! This young kid on a bike saw what was happening and a few minutes later cycled up to my Dad with our dog under his arm having gave chase on the bike

honestly what would you do if you found a wallet with 30 quid in, aswell as cards and the usual crap?

would you give it all back?
would you take the money and give the wallet and cards back?
would you take the money and throw everything else away?

bloke i know found a wallet on the floor and knocked on the owners door (driving license has address on), the owner then accused him of taking his money out of it (£100) and didnt even get a thanks/cheers. there was no money in it when he found it on the floor.

it can work both ways.

No, I'd just think the person was a twat. 99 times out of 100 that wouldnt happen anyway. The person would say cheers, or maybe even thank you.
