Yeah, by the sounds of it you'll have to play about slightly no matter what goes in. But I think the 1.8 might be slightly cheaper than the 1.6, possibly newer, and a few extra bhp for what it's worth. More interesting too imo, seeing as you can already but a Corsa with the 1.6 so the 1.8 makes it a bit more of a special conversion

true, yeah they do seem cheap. i just wouldnt know where to start when it comes to fitting one. id need someone who has done it before to help do it.

alsooo. . . . how did peoples insurance change when they did conversions? is it still frowned upon so you get royally bummed?

well on a 1.6 sport its coming out at 1k. so should be 900 ish. but i want a 1.8 haha

if i was you id get looking for a clean low mileage sport.
personally id do a conversion but thats because i can do the work myself easily, if you dont really know what youre doing it will end up costing more and more as you go along

main part of the car affected by ragging is the engine


however it is probably a pretty solid shell
