Anyone know how to go about doing that? Obviously get a race licence but I want to just buy a cheap car and go race..

Not quite as cheap as they make out though is it.

For a start you need a tow car and trailer.
Race fees,
Tyres,
Fuel,
repairs,
maintenance/servicing
plus more (thats all I can think of knowing nothing about motorsport )
