It WILL chip. I had mine done properly twice and it still did it.

Paint it yourself, a gloss black and laquer rattle cans wont cost much?

the reason they chip is because if its chrome people dont give it a good enough key

Trust me the paint on mine was seriously thick and done properly. My surface area was a lot bigger than a few slats tho.

they are chrome standard are they not? theres no reason why if done properly that should chip anymore than the rest of the bumper

the op wants to paint small plastic bits like mine in gloss, its no differant to colour coding a bumper top ect so should chip if done well

Yep chrome. The guy I eventually swapped it with has had to repaint it as well so that'll be the 3rd time.

it will because its chrome so the paints not taking properly id imagine... im not a painter but ive had no trouble with any thing else chipping
