99% sure a 335d doesn't exist, only goes up to 330d they do do a 535d tho and tbh there not far off a m3

What! both the 335d and 335i are recognised as one of the best engines produced in recent years
As for mpg pretty sure the twin air is up there, but so many factors affect mpg. You could get the most fuel efficient car but if you don't know how to drive it then it won't be fuel efficient

Clio 1.5Dci has fantastic book figures, would love to see if it can do anywhere near that though.

I might be looking at a Kia Rio as a company car if one of the jobs I'm after comes off

If i were in the posistion of a company car, i would happily pay more to drive something not so shit as that.
The new Kia Rio isn't a bad looking car, it's fully loaded and it's cheap as chips... why wouldn't you?!?
1.1 diesel.
It would hardly move.
Considering it puts out 125 fl/lb of torque I think you would find quite the opposite.Thats brilliant considering my 1.8 mazda engine puts out around 100 ft/lb in naturally aspirated form....Book/cover and all that
Edit: Just to put it in perspective, your D Turbo 306 puts out about 145 ft/lb according to factory figures so not a huge difference in performance over what your car is cabale of

Yer i forgot we only talk and tourque with diesel engined cars as that is all the important. Never mind bhp, weight, gear ratios etc
The weight is identical at both your car and the Kia weighing in at 1155kg, your car has 90bhp where the Kia has 74bhp which equates to your car accelerating 1.3 seconds quicker 0-60....Not really a case of "it would hardly move" really is it?
parents have a rio, they bought it as a runaround because they end up visiting clients all over the place, its been to leeds, cardiff, kent. they love it does exactly what it says on the tin, cheap, nippy, my dad drives it like an eco box and its slow but my mum normally has her foot down and i certainly wouldnt call it shy

From what they claim it's the no AC, Electric windows, low spec version that will get the highest MPG and the with one AC they claim 75MPG.

Pretty sure lads on DCInet I think it is where seeing near 90mpg sometimes!
Ok a Kio Rio may do 88mpg, but how much are they? If you are wanting to save money, buy an older diesel, like a Corsa, 106 etc. As a car that costs say £400 and does 65mpg, compared to an £8000 (?) that does 88mpg would take some mileage to be worth it.

Erm I never mentioned any of those things or even my car for that matter.
