Still think we should try to get Modric. One problem is if they go out and buy someone like him then you get people like Pogba thinking when am I supposed to get a chance now they've brought a big money name in? But at the same time he hasn't proved himself as a first teamer yet either so you can't not bring anyone in on the hope that he "might" come good. Because if he doesn't then you are in the shit
hey presto you are now Arsene Wenger

So he could have sat in the united medical room?

As said, Owen will be on his way. Glad he finally got his PL medal
Berbatov will be gone for definate. Can not get a game and it isn't due to a bad run.
And also as said, an attacking midfielder, I said this in the last transfer thread too. A goal scoring CM would be a great addition.
I'm beginning to gain faith in Da Gea now he is settling in, and Lindegaard has been good when he plays.
Rio will be given more of a squad role, we have Evans and Smalling and Vidic when he returns, so not sure if someone else will be bought. I think De Laet needs to be given his chance now too.
I like the twins, but I am not sure if they are our long term fullback option.

I think you're all right on the leavers this year, Macheda sold or loaned out, Berbatov will bring in a small fee as united took the option up to extend his contract by a year, Owen will be released, he's done nothing this season, waste of space. Park might go too, his oppertunities are dwindling as he is ageing and Valencia, Nani and young battle for the spots out wide especially.
The obvious place that needs strengthening is the centre of midfield, the question is though who do we sell? as we have so many players vying for a place here when fit, Fletcher(aims to be back for summer/couldn't give him away with his rotting arse), Carrick, Scholes( I read he plans to stay on for another season), Giggs(1 more season) & Anderson(had shown promise before his recent injuries/probably wouldn't recoup much for him), plus the youngsters Cleverley and Pogba's who are trying to break into the 1st team and look extremely promising. I'd probably have to say Fergie should be brave and get rid of Carrick, He's never spectacular, and we need more of a playmaker here i think as it seems there is no creativity in the centre, it all goes down the wings.
We seem to play a 4-2-3-1 now so i can't see Fergie bothering to bring another striker in when Young, Nani can play in that central position too.
I think the defence is probably the best in the country already, Rafaels & Fabio's seasons have been destroyed by injuries unfortunately, same with Vidic obviously, I don't see any additions here if all are fit come the beginning of next season.

Liverpool have signed a 16 year old from Crewe - Dan Smith - Apparently was on his way to City, but the deal fell through.
£300k
I would guess we're selling him now instead of letting him get stolen for free when the EPPP shit comes in
http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/Crewe-Alex-Smith-leaves-Alex-Anfield-giants/story-15860950-detail/story.html
And strangely enough, our Managers son has joined Port Vale, so obviously isn't considered good enough by his dad

Nick Powell, supposedly he's awesome. I'd hope we keep hold of him for another season, he won't play for you lot for at least a year or two.
But supposedly we should get 2m+ so we'll see.

I'd love us to sign Powell, best prospect by a mile at Crewe.

I know he's been banging them in, and playing very well, watching the highlights he looks a cut above, and from everything I've heard he's brilliant. Played well for England in the kids world cup last summer too.
Only seen 2 Crewe games this season and they played shit in both.
Don't get to see many Crewe games from my armchair unfortunately

Around £6 million, which is a very tidy bit of business. A young attacking German international, but can't say I've seen a lot from him.
