£500 on a daily watch.
We're clearly in different circles. I spent £125 and thought that was more than enough

I said up to £500
My current favourite is £270.
When I say daily watch, it will be my only watch. I have a Police watch too but I don't wear it anymore.

my phone has the time on it. My car cost £500, couldn't justify even thinking about spending that on a watch

Thats the one I have with the white face its really nice although I would now spend a little more and get an automatic watch.
How come you want an automatic one?
I'm just looking for a watch I like. If I like a Quartz one, then I'll buy it. Same with automatic, I wouldn't rule a watch out just because it's Quartz?
Just they dont need batteries really accurate and are a bit more durable
Its just the whole getting the best you can for your £££, I know that a lot of people wont get it.....

I'd say the opposite yeah they dont need batteries but mechanical watches are far from accurate and they tend to fuck up if you drop them

Will say as I always do in these threads. I have a Certina DS Podium and find it cool and stylish.
Also, the butterfly clasp is fantastic as there seems to be very little wear to the leather.
Various color combos depending on your style. I have the first one.

So I went to look at this today:
http://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/product/tissot-prc200-gents-watch-17360428
I'm no watch expert, but the face just looked really cheap. It didn't help that I also looked at this:
http://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/product/raymond-weil-freelancer-gents-automatic-watch-17340381
The latter made the Tissot look like a Fisher Price watch.

Yeh the price different is huge, but to me £300 is still a lot of money for a watch, I just thought the Tissot looked really cheap.

nice watch that
As stated go for a good watch maker not just a brand name that they think justfiies a price atg
At 800 notes your getting very close to ORIS money which are very good watches
also get some good tag F1 watches for around £800 mark
A good watch will never really lose money and they are always nice to have
The Grand Carrera for example has gone up nearly 1k in the last 18 months

The cheap Tags look crap IMO. If I was to get a Tag it would have to be a Carrera.
