I'm going to go against the majority here...

Why not just leave them? The clears look like something I had on my Gsi back in 2002 and well, the vynal'd up clears don't look a whole lot better

Doesn't look bad, just seems like a slightly chavvy mod

The cicular bits are for the indicators so need to be clear.

Ian, whilst it seems chavvy, its the only way to get rid of the orange bits without doing a facelift rear end conversion. And the z4 forum wank over the 'quad spot' lights.

Same, but I reckon it only works on this colour and possibly silver, any other and it would look as chavvy as anything!

Looks good but would it not be better using red spray tint on the inside or will it get the indicator as well?

I like it either way though

What do people do when they have full red rears then? wont an orange bulb sort it?

apparently a green bulb through red will shine orange, but a lot of people who've done full red rears have had problems with the indicators shining more red.

cheers darryl. the indicator bit is seperate from the brake/rear light and is enclosed so that could well be a good idea. never thought of that before, although it would mean opening up the lights and resealing them.

lights in finally. one of the chrome tail light bulbs didn't work which was annoying, but luckily had a spare:

before:

after:

not 100% on them at the moment but they will stay like that until i get hold of some tint spray.

whilst i was doing it i realised my 3rd brake light wasn't working. when i fitted it i forgot to connect it up

Better than before, but not 100% keen on them. At 1st glance they look like they have been smashed.
