I don't believe that the term, "job" is exclusively reserved for paid work, whether that paid work is part of a career carefully planned since childhood or something you fell into later in life.

From dictionary.com:
job
1. a piece of work, especially a specific task done as part of the routine of one's occupation or for an agreed price.
2. a post of employment; full-time or part-time position: She was seeking a job as an editor.
3. anything a person is expected or obliged to do; duty; responsibility.
4. an affair, matter, occurrence, or state of affairs: to make the best of a bad job.
5. the material, project, assignment, etc., being worked upon: The housing project was a long and costly job.

Depends. You could be a portfolio manager or bring up your own child. Both totally different in every way. But both are still jobs so...

It might not be a job, but even the huge amount i love my son, i would say doing my actual job is probly easier than doing everything my missis does every day with my son running round and twins on the way

Eh? Are you just playing devil's advocate? Two posts with apparently conflicting views, unless I've misunderstood something?

Having kids is a choice, something that you choose to do, having a job for me should be necessary to earn a living to make those choices.

Full time mums are either people with lots of cash or no cash. People on average wages I the middle can't be full time mums, they have to be a full time mum plus a proper job.

That's great until they get to school and get bullied because of their no name trainers.
