Should hopefully make for a short euro 2012 meaning all the English players are fit for the start of the only thing that matter.

Steve, is it Harry's intertoto cup win that makes him your number one choice?

Terry Connor or Paul Ince should have been the first managers approached.

Paul Ince would pick 11 black players every game, and only those that have a coaching licence

Hodgson would do a better jon than 'Arry
Hodgson has managed all over Europe, won plenty of stuff domestically and did well with the Swiss side in 1994. Ok he wasn't great at Liverpool but has done well with Fulham and a decent job with WBA recently.
Redknapp has won an FA Cup, and the 4th Division with Bournemouth. He's done well with Spurs but speak to regular Spurs match goers and they'll tell you that they are far from happy with him given they have bottled it again this season.
Hodgsons win % is 43% as a manager, and Redknapps is 40%
Look a bit deeper into it that what you read in The Sun or The Mirror and you'll see why the FA are looking at Hodgson. I said it should've been Hodgson when Capello was put in charge, i'm not saying he'll get it (media will probably force the FAs hand into appointing Redknapp) but they would be daft not to consider Hodgson.

It's not just about cvs, Capello had a cv as long as your arm. It's about the style of football and the motivation of your players and to some extent the mood of the nation. England don't need another over qualified wet fish again

Agree to an extent, but you still need to have knowledge to go along side that. If you just want someone to rant and rave on the sideline you might as well appoint Mike Bassett.

What has he won domestically? I hope they do appoint him so I can watch the carcrash unfold People don't understand Roy, all of the stuff I've read about him being quiet and unassuming is hilarious. He's a mediocre guy with a much bigger ego than people give him credit for, his ideas haven't changed in 30 years, as you see they have 'stood him in good stead' (won him fuck all). He's not willing to learn from his experience, he'll send England out for a draw if facing anyone half decent and then talk about their tremendous performance when they inevetably lose. I'm not saying Redknapp is the right choice for England, I genuinely don't care either way, but if I were a fan I'd be much more comfortable with seeing him leading the team than old owl face.
