i dont mind the swift to drive its nice to just chuck around the back lanes, audi is heavier and faster but takes more effort to get it to be nimble.

iv driven it a lot in the past and its ok but im not taken by it

I'd take the Audi. Re pd140 comments, my dad clocked up 150k in an a3 sportback with the 140 engine. Only problem it had was a wheel bearing or 2.

For some reason I remembered that A4 as being an estate.

I'd have neither, think they're both boring as fuck but at least the Audi might be good at something useful.

Nice that audi, really like the wheels too, no brainer.
Also a4 is a good popular size of paper

Don't think the Audi would be good for towing. Would it not be above towing limit with a show car puma on a trailer?

They're between 1500 and 1700 depending on the model which leaves over a ton of payload, which Steve's Puma is not.

I'm going to say I told you so very loudly when you all start showing up to events in comfortable estate cars towing Ebay shitters.

If you tow using a dolly does that count for the same towing weight rules? E.g. A 1200kg limit, you can tow an 1100kg car & say the dolly is 100kgs?

Any device which leaves any of the car's road wheels on the floor and doesn't brake those road wheels is classed as an unbraked trailer and as such can only weigh 750kg. Unless the car is very light, this would be overweight.

The only exception is towing the combination to a place of safety following a breakdown or accident and you'll have a hard time claiming that leaving your house with a working track car on the back is either of those.

You've got the Puma for the fun stuff, Audi would be for the practical stuff. Swift is pointless, not as fun as the Puma, not as practical as the Audi.
