went egypt last year (sharm el-sheik, but the quiet part).
was lovely. baking hot (45+c in the day, 30+c at night), had quiet bits as well as some nightlife and the beach was an amazing coral reef thing with stunning fish.
cheap too.

went Marmaris in 2005 with the ex-f, was fantastic then, lvoed it. Nismole used to go to Side every year for about 10 years and never had a bad word to say about the place. I work with 5 Turks (professionals, not kebab workers lol) and they are all lvoely people too

Nope, its that nice we even considered going there for our Honeymoon as we know that its a nice place, and we know what were getting, but we changed our mind and below a massive budget in Dubai, can't wait, must be half decent as its voted 4th in UAE and in the top 25 hotels in the world 2012

I'd recommend Antalya in Turkey. Stay at the Cornelia Diamond 5 star resort. Lovely place!
Or Sharm in Egypt, and stay at a 5 star.
I hated Turkey when I was younger, but love the 5 star resorts were you don't have to venture out. Went last year and going again this one.

Cancun in Mexico. Went there a few years ago and it was amazing. Scuba dived on the 2nd biggest coral reef in the world, swam with sharks and dolphins as well which was out this world. Hired our own speed boat for the day and took it for a spin in the lagoon through all the brush. Was a total fantasy holiday for us.

My folks went there last year. Typically they never go to the same place twice, but booked to go back 2 days after returning.

I paid a lot of money for a some shitty 3 star hotel where everything was dirty, every single person wanted to hassle and touch you, hotel was in the middle of a fucking building site and even though we wern't in any clubbing city the noise was awful.
Altinkum was where I went. Never again.

Thats where we stayed. Its amazing. We were put in a suite due to it being part of our Honeymoon. We were overlooking The Palm (it was still being built back then).
I'd recommend Wild Wadi Water Park, and Dune Bashing in 4x4's is a must. The shopping malls etc are cool but definatley have a trek round the old town too.
We are dying to go back but kids are a bit young atm.
