Now all done, runs good, I need to keep at the tuning on the Apexi to get it nice a sharp but got it running rich at moment to be safe.

Welded in a new front cross member yesterday as well as old one was rusty as hell.

Gonna be driving it to work all this week so should iron out all the probs by the weekend...hopefully!

Sorry mate, missed you post.

To be honest i dont know, i'd be happy with 130/150bhp for now considering its been a budget build but there aint enough of these around to know the "normal" bhp figure.

love the look of this! definatly be keeping an eye on it btw on the previous page you said about drilling a hole for the wideband? may be a stupid question but what is a wideband and the parts listed on the first page is that all you need to turbo? cos that looks simple way you done it!

Wideband is like the cars normal lambda sensor but alot more accurate and can be used together with a gauge to moniter air/fuel ratio.

Im using the wideband along with an Apexi fuel computer to control fueling for the conversion so i make sure im not running lean (not enough fuel) on boost.

There isnt a huge amount of stuff needed to do a turbo conversion, its mainly time consuming to make sure everything fits etc.

so running one of them is better but not essential? see my friends got a 1.3 starlet and hes asking me about turboing and when i seen this it seemed quite simple apart from the space but it looks like it would fit on it. How much did you pick up that apexi fuel computer for seems like neat piece of kit!
