You cant because you don't really want to? You need to want to quit.

I have given up a few times. Always end up stating at Xmas again. But its because I know I can just pack it in again.

The first day sucks, just keep busy. It really is as simple as just stopping

I used to say "Why would I want to quit? I enjoy smoking"
Funnily enough though I quit for a woman

Oh yeah. Only during the first few days though. I'm not one to snap at people, but you do get wound up easier. It passes though.

Oh and download a stopping smoking app, one that counts how much money you've saved. I found it tomake me even more determined as I could actually see it saving me so much money.

Haven't bothered reading the thread.

But a couple of my mates have quit by using the e-cigarettes, one was on 20 a day, 1 on 40 a day.

They ordered those for £40 a go, got a load of refills, and haven't smoked cigarettes in 3 weeks, obviously next step is get off the fake ones, but they seem to work very well!

and from £600 a month between them, they're down to £60ish instead

when you smoke you really dont look at what you are spending because you get use to just paying looking at the cost and how much i have wasted makes me feel like shit

in the long and short of it, if you give up you will be healthier, feel better, save money, if thats not enough motivation then as already said in the thread you dont want to give up.

No idea why anyone with half a brain would have started any time in the past 20 years.

You'll probably get cancer from it, not the usual everything gives you cancer these days, it actually will kill you.

It's becoming more and more socially unacceptable and you stink of it, whether you think you do or not.

This tbh. Quitting is probably the best gift you could ever give yourself. Not only that, knowing you've quit successfully will give you an inspiration/motivation boost to improve other areas of your life.

Try not to think of the downside of quitting. Think of the positives.

Never tried one.

Never saw any gains from doing so, so whilst my friends did I just sat back and watched.

Don't see why people ever start tbh
