Yeah i've not read anywhere about the timing chain on the service intervals apart from just checking it.
Could be worth a punt at the right price then?

I'd say so. But ask if the valve clearances was done in the last service. If only for the fact you'll know the owner took good care!

Would it say so in the service book? It's at an independent dealer so they might not want to say if it has or hasn't been done

Iirc valve clearances are in the service book

My facelift is '53' Registered in early 2004.
