About 9 miles or so. Doesn't bother me, mornings in general piss me off more than driving to work.

All depends where i am, it was an 11 hour one way trip the other day to inverness via derby and roughly 600 miles

5 minute walk, 25 minute train, 5 minute tube, 10 minute walk.

It's OK, train and tube are usually very busy though. I like not having to use a car.

BTW - the whole commute being a southern thing. The dictionary definition of commute is to travel to work, maybe southerners just have a better vocabulary?

Our unit's just over 3 miles away but I often travel so for example today I had a 200+ mile commute to London and back, yesterday I had a 200+ mile commute to Glasgow and back.

It depends on where you are too. If I had a regular commute into Manchester (about 30-45mins) it'd do my nut in pretty quick because it's a boring and busy run so day in day out, it'd start to grate whereas a more rural route that takes the same time would be a lot more bearable. I just like that I tend to have a lot of variety, too much driving the same roads can end up getting boring.

Either 10mins in the car (5miles) & 15min train journey (free because I work for them) or 20mins (15miles) in the car, depends on my mood.

30 miles there and 30 back each day all back road driving doesnt bother me 5-10 quid on diesel a day aswell

Thought the lack of separation distance could be a problem when I bought the place, but the complete lack of spending either my own time or money getting to work entirely makes up for it

5-10 min drive. 45 min walk (awkward to get to walking). Don't think I could do a 1hr + journey to work on a train everyday,

Monday - 8 miles each way, 10-25 minutes
Tuesday - 130 miles each way - 2.5-4.5 hours
Wednesday - 8 miles each way
Thursday - down the stairs
Friday - down the stairs

As said, depends on the type of journey. My mate does 50 miles each way but free flowing dual carriageways it only takes an hour.

When I was driving it was 10 miles but 45 minutes each way.

5 mins walk to Bus stop
5-10 mins on the bus
1 Hour on the tube (If lucky) - 25 stops
5 Mins walk to work

1 Hour 15 one way if lucky.

Costs over £2200 a year.

Been doing it 8 years, usually use the time for extra sleep.
