I am sure I would enjoy driving an R26 in anger if its as good as everyone is saying.
Just doubt I could live with anything french again.

You could always put some leather seats in a Renault and a Bmw badge on the bonnet.

The R26 is pretty well put together 110% better than 172/182. My mate has the trophy and that just seems like it would rattle to bits.

Mine never rattled. Trim felt cheap and nasty but it rattles less than my Astra GSi did.

Never been in one. Heard lots of good things about the handling. The R had the diff. People say its a must on the megane.
Trust me, it isnt a must. Its been bulled up by the #internetz.
I dissagre. Coming out of a bend my R26 puts it power down much beter than the 225 cup and 225 lux ive driven.

I was heavily advertised in the press how good the R26 was compared to previous Meganes. I dont think the journo's where bothered by #internets more based on fact.

Where in the above statement did I say I'd been hammering a customers car? I offer a collection/elivery service to all of my customers.
Smart arses like you behind a keyboard twisting words get garages/tuners a bad name so so easily.
As regards to the job I don't think it was too bad at all tbh once it's all locked up, I'm not the biggest of lads though so it must of helped an awful lot. No garages locally would touch the car for her, I personally didn't see a problem and would happily do another.

Give us a break. As if you've done an adequate road test to establish ST's and VXR's don't come close when cruising along through liverpool at 30mph.
Your comments in the first post were the impression that gave. If you're so concerned about business, I'd watch what assumptions can be drawn from your public comments online.

my brother has just bought an r26, really nice car! great handling, good brakes, not bad on fuel, seems well build and pretty good spec inside!
he will be taking it on track in august or september, i am bit worried to be honest! think he will beat my clio 197 on straight with ease, just hope the van will be quicker on track or i will be gutted!

Funny the way it's only you who has the assumptions and feel the need to voice them instead of giving an opinion on the car like what was asked in the original post. Who said it was picked up from Liverpool, dropped off in Liverpool or driven on 30mph roads.
Who's making assumptions now?
Always one smart arse.

How do you rate your 197 mate?? Shared the driving with my mate to the ring in his 172, coil overs, gripper doff, bushed etc... Was such a mega car!

Well against a clio 200 its close but the r26 pulls and is alot quicker on the corners

All ive needed is injectors so far then wear/tear items. Prices arnt cheap for stuff but can get bargins from Renault wolves.
Phase1 225 have issues with the hub but all of them do at some point. and you dont get the nice seats
