Used to have an AMC near me in Birmingham - it was like the Ryanair of cinemas and pretty cheap, about £6 or £7. The drinks were stupid though as you could spend something like £4 on a Coke.
There's little wonder that people aren't going to the cinema as much anymore. It's like Nintendo making the same shitty products they did in the 90's and then moaning that people are just playing games on their iPhones instead of a Gameboy.

Then again, I lived right next to this one too:
http://www.theelectric.co.uk/
I didn't mind spending money on a ticket there because you got to sit on a sofa and text the barmaid your order for a beer or wine

Just noticed that actually my nearest cinema is only £6
But it's crap, and we always go to Vue.

£8.50 a ticket plus £1.50 for 3D then an absolutely extortionate amount for refreshments, plus they search you in case you're trying to smuggle your own in If I take the mrs and daughter I'm not left with much change out of £40

I don't really go out clubbing much these days so just see it as an evening out and don't mind paying tbh.

I hate 3D, I'd rather put the £10 ticket cost towards an alcohol induced headache.

It annoys me that even if we take our glasses from the previous visit, we still have to pay £1.50

It's the people eating loudly without manners that's the problem. Scum of the Earth.
Although smelly food like hotdogs and nachos is fucking horrible too.
Cinema is full of scum, it would be the perfect place to gas the weirdos from out of existence.

I am with Ben G and aido with regards to food.
People only buy popcorn because it is 'there' and the prices people pay for it. I guess soda and popcorn is where the cinema make a majority of their money?
Does not matter where I sit, some cunt or couple with fuck of tubs of popcorn will come and sit right next to me. They shovel it in their mouths like fucking farm pigs making one hell of a noise.
Also when I went to see Promethues a slum dweller type family turned up 5 minutes into the film with fucking fish and chips and sat behind us eating it. Some people have no shame fucking slum dwelling cheap cunts.
Like ben said go without food for 2 hours you fat fucks.

But I can buy a Months pass for £14.99 and go as many times as I want in that month.
Yes but that Cineworld in Uttoxeter is a bit backwards and full of inbreds

i don't go to the cinema
and it my be part of the tradition, but when someone else has paid a tenner to watch a movie, i think they want to hear what the actors are saying rather than some idiot scoffing his face.

Scottish pakis are the worst kind of pakis. Up there with pakis that think they are black and drive around with 2 pac blasting out on their vibe subs from halfords.
