Buy this for 14K,

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/4105446.htm

stick it in the garage as a weekend toy, spend 4k on the family run around, pocket 2k for any work the TVR needs during ownership.

See thats another wise choice, I like them but my love for the Tuscan is just that bit more, and after having a Tuscan for 4 days, I am hooked on the noise that they make!

You can have a 2 seater as a weekend toy.

Call me a snob but tell anyone outside of a Vauxhall forum that you just spent £20k on a Vauxhall and you would most probably get laughed at.

yes they do but no carbon roof

IMO the e90 M3 is better buy - its rarer and IMO looks much better

Check this guys out

The RS4's are nice but IMO look very dated

What about an older RS6

I don't think you would. £20k on a mass produced hatchback, probably. VXR8 is a million miles away.

Agree with James, wouldn't be spending £20k on a Vauxhall no matter what it is.

Cant go wrong with an Audi RS or BMW M anything.

the thing is your comparing different cars, 20k on a vauxhall buys you a very new very fast very well equipped car, the same car equivalent in BMW or Audi or Merc of the same age will cost you loads more.

id have no problems at all spending on the Vaux.

If I was buying a new car, I would rather buy a car because it's quick and well equipped over a badge, but that's just me.

Yes because M and RS cars tend to be poverty spec and slow.

I wasn't on about those car, I could of been clearer.

If I was buying a brand new car, I would rather spend it on a well speced ford, Vauxhall etc then a poverty spec bmw, Audi etc. James' comment about don't spend 20k on a Vauxhall is ridiculous imo.

Get you, but if you want value for money and you're buying a car brand new you're already doing it wrong.

Good time to buy a 20k m3 IMO, prices at bottom will be pretty firm until the F30 is built and selling. So to me that gives you 18-24 months of cheap motoring.

That's where id stick my money with the choices on page 1.

Or wait 12 months until 997 turbos are sub-35k & keep saving in that time. That's what I'm doing.
