its just 6mm ply wood, maybe should have done it with 9mm but didnt want it to be that heavy and it does not stick out to much either so should not flex,

also it worked out cheaper buying new covers directly from cobra than me trying to trim the seats myself, my seats were little wider that was only real difference!

dont think i would have a whole car in flip cos its just asking to be keyed or if u ever scrached it would be right pain! and like you say the paint is expensive but does not seem to bad if your only doing smaller parts! think to do 2 sets of wheels and all my engine bay parts i have used about half a litre of flip!

Does look very nice for a track van. Never been a fan of the extended front end though on Mk4's. Your's kinda hides it well with the mean looking headlights.

Also agree with john_d. Some red tint film over the rear lights would look good.

Also while on the subject of flip paint, i seen an MG ZT yesterday and im positive it was the same colour as your wheels.

went to mpg last week to check the fuelling on the car and have it put on rollers!

was happy with results! got plenty of power across more of the rev range with inlet fitted! low boost is dotted red line, high boost is sold red line!

bought a second hand strut brace, painted it and fitted!

stripped few bits from inside, seats out, cage out

primer

painted

took seats apart again and painted backs

cage painted

got it all back together

took few pics outside after a quick wash
