All the games run on the COD4 engine, so there's hardly been a revolutionary jump in graphics.
I think that MW2 saw a new lighting and particle engine so stuff like explosions, smoke and shadows got a bit of a boost.
Don't know about textures and unsure if they've actually updated anything for BO2, but from the video it looks exactly like MW2/BO/MW3 except for the pre rendered bits and the more futuristic overall look.
As a console game, it's still nowhere near Killzone 2/3 in terms of texture and model detail.

That video looks so much smoother and cleaner than COD4.

Did you watch it in the small 480p youtube window though, or on a +40" television?
Either way, you really can not judge nor compare framerate and detail level until you're running it.
Again, I've not managed to find anything indicating the engine has been tweaked/updated and seeing as Treyarch have never done that, I will expect this to look exactly like the three previous games.

Well, would you look at that:
"Call of Duty: Black Ops II is currently being developed on what is called by Mark Lamia, head of Treyarch Studios, the "Black Ops II Engine".[4] Texture blending has been improved due to a new technology called "reveal mapping" which compares tones between two textures and then blends them together. Also, there have been upgrades to the lighting engine which include HDR lighting, bounce lighting, self-shadowing, intersecting shadows and various other improvements."
From wikipedia. Will most likely be based on the engine from COD4, either the BO or MW3 modified versions of it.
How likely we are to see any benefits on the console is a different question, as porting has always been a bit of an issue with games like these. Will be interesting none the less.

Hardly new stuff after all, it turns out:

And his reasoning is idiotic.

I thought that most games were developed for the Xbox 360 and then ported to the ps3, pc and therefore never really pushes any limits when it comes to graphical levels.

Because even with them you can see there isn't hardly any difference at all, the hands for example are the the same, weapons models although obviously different designs, graphically the same, soldiers the same and basically the graphics are the same.
But obnoxious as ever you are !

Theres sniper rifles in it so no doubt there will be.
I think they should just leave sniper rifles out the game now since the maps are so small.

They've already said they'd be stopping the quickscoping.
Easy enough to do, just disable autoaim on snipers surely?

Exactly, Fair enough on the big maps if people want to hide the other side of the map and shoot you, that doesnt annoy me.
Running around with a fucking barrett like its an assault rifle is the only thing on COD that i hate!
