so given a hyper car/super car or sportscar and an empty industrial estate, you wouldn't open the taps up?

It was one of the top comments when I read the article, Daily Mail have probably just offered him a job.

probably wasnt going that fast. we've probably all been in the position where youre in a low gear going under the limit but because of your loud exhaust people are waving their arm wildly at you to slow down.
as has already been mentioned, these cars rip apart easily and look a lot more damaged than a car made of metal that crashed at twice the speed. and 10 ft isnt far to be "thrown" from the car, he could have easily rolled 10ft after falling out of the car and hit his head on the floor.

People love a drama, i used to drive in a spirited manner down my back lane in the 106 gti, its quite twisty, lots of 90 degree bends etc, so probs only really doing about 50, in a low gear, that twat who planted conifers along his fence because he was scared i would roll it into his garden and kill his kids came round accusing me of doing 100+ down the lane

another bloke who used to walk his dog around the place also came round fairly recently for the sole purpose of informing my parents i was driving too fast and wouldnt last much longer.
i came out my drive the other day as he was walking his dog past, wouldnt look me in the eye so i done a massive wheelspin next to him which caused him to flinch

Didnt realise these cars were made of paper mache. Doors being ripped off, front end totally trashed, caused by an accident at MAX 30mph.

in fairness, carbon based composites have terrible impact resistance. Look at a Formula One crash and how it shards and breaks. Its incredible strong but brittle in impact. Slow speed crash could legitimitely do that kind of damage

It would take a fairly decent impact to eject the driver from the car though.

10 ft is really not that far atall with no seatbelt youd easily carry momentum for that distance

not if the door ripped off and he wasn't wearing a seatbelt; think of the forces of spinning a car at even 20mph, especially if it span clockwise, as the driver would be cetrafugally ejected from the car.

What's caused a Zonda to spin at 20mph?

You achieve about 20-30 G in a 30mph crash. That would throw you out the window, out the missing door and crack your skull open on anything hard that's in the way.

(and the force goes up exponentially so as he might have been doing a bit more than that e.t.c...)

I think we all know he was doing more than 30, people just chose to be awkward because it wasnt filmed in HD.
