My Dad always made me wear it, so it's second nature. But I've never really needed one in half a million miles.

The old it saved me not wearing one ranks high in worst logic ever.

Always. I couldn't not wear it anyway as the car wouldn't shut up beeping at me.

I feel this poll is full of political correctness.
I have a friend who doesn't belt up for short journeys.

My dad died in a car accident because he was wearing a seatbelt (similar vein to Coley, if he hadnt of worn it he probably would have been flung out of it, although who knows whether he would have survived that either?!), however, I have always been brought up to wear one, I could never not wear one (unless moving the car off the drive for example), and at the end of the day is it really worth wasting £80 on on something you dont even know is there anyway!

Always. I can stand the feeling of not having a seat belt on.
If I get in the back of someone's car and the buckles are trapped under the seat, I have to lift the seats and sort it.

I always wear one. It's also advisable to make sure it's on properly with the lap bit over your hip and not your stomach. I was in a crash with a few mates, and the guy in the back middle seat with just a lap belt had it over his stomach, so when we came to a stop the belt went all Chuck Norris on his organs so he had to have several operations ending in part of his intestine being removed and now he has to have vitamin pills and injections for the rest of his life.
Went without once when a guy from the garage took me round the block in my car (think we were looking for a knocking noise or something) and he didn't put one on, so I didn't. It felt wrong and could feel myself sliding all over the seat

Always belt up. Even on a short journey, just because you don't plan on crashing doesn't mean someone else isn't driving like a twat towards you. Only yesterday on my way home (short journey) saw an r32 smashed up in a 30zone. Crash looked to have happened at atleast 70.

The windscreen will fuck your face up if you stop in a hurry and the airbag will make a fucking mess of your lungs when it breaks your ribs.
