As soon as someone posts a nice watch they get abused
Sure, but that's hardly interesting, that's just everyday CS stuff.
That reminds me though, who was it that had a thread about buying all sorts of 5£ watches on eBay? Wonder how that ever turned out.

Getat is worth looking at, think Jules has one. Look brilliant, movement is suppose to be pretty decent and they're around the $100-150 mark.
Only iffy bit is the website (http://www.siswatch727.com/index.do) but guy/company behind is suppose to be spot on from the reviews on watchuseek.com and bdwf.net.

1 Rotary and 1 breitling, I wear one of these two most days, but I do have a Rolex that I inherited that I hardly ever wear for the simple reason of not wanting to loose/break it, and tbh I don't think it's the best looking watch in the world :/

I wouldn't mind a Marina Militare but not sure I like buying a fake/homage.
I also have girly wrists so worried they might just be too big! For reference I wear a 43mm Omega PO and that is the perfect size.

I'm surprised Getat get away with their designs as they're essentially just a counterfeit Panerai

True, although the guy behind it has been doing it a while. Either way, for $100/150 you can't really complain for a customised (you can choose facias, straps, dials etc) watch and the workmanship is apparently spot on.

I am going to get one on payday I think. How long do they take to arrive? Few weeks?
Do you ever get issues with customs?

Mine took about three weeks, he builds them to spec and he's pretty good at keeping you upto date on progress via e-mails. No problems with customs either.
I'm not that bothered whether people think it's an homage/copy tbh. It's a $100 watch and it doesn't say 'Panerai' on it so it's not trying to fake anything.
Be warned though, the glass scratches if you look at it

So it's worth paying the extra $18 for Sapphire?
Defo going to order one. Is the hand wind movement alright?

The size doesnt put me off (44mm) its the chunkyness of it. Same with some of the Steinhart divers, as tall as they are wide.

Doug,
I'm not sure whether the sapphire face was available when I ordered mine, if it was I would have spent the extra $18. Either way it scratched pretty easy. The wind on mine with the crown seal mechanism does tend to lose you some skin
MIne is a 47mm so wears 'thinner' than a 44mm. I tried various Panerai before I bought mine and all the 44's looked too thick, the 47's look more in proportion width/depth wise.
I'll get some pics later as i've never taken any of the MM
