I think his biggest problem is the fact that he has protested so much in the past about being clean. Standing in court under oath etc.

I think he could be in a lot of trouble if he admits to guilt. Hes going to find a lot of sponsors going after him along with the law of the land.

A few of his sponsors already have.

An insurance company that his teams used to use to cover the bonus payments has already began proceedings to get the money back + interest.

Unfortunately he will probably make a ton of money from interviews and book deals etc.

Like Nicole Cooke said the other day the cheats win on the way up and they win on the way down.

Interview is on at 2am on Discovery (520) on sky.

Not sure it'll really be worth watching as I'm sure SSN and probably every news channel will have all the best bits by morning anyway, but just a heads up

Finally got round to watching it in full this morning after a few Sky box issues.

One thing I found particularly annoying is that whenever he seemed like he was about to raise a good point/get his general point across, Oprah would butt in.

It was a very interesting watch though. I found it fascinating that he would admit to all these allegations being true but was proper pissed off about being accused of calling Betsy Andreu fat

I could rabble on all day about it.

He has basically admitted to lying under oath too. Cant you go to jail for that?

He can and most probably will do jail time now.

The authorities refused to intervene until after the interview aired apparently.

Is it not something like 17 of the last 33 tour winners have some form of doping allegations against them? I'm sure I read that on bbc news.

Accused, yes. Found guilty, no.

He actually tested positive for something but it was permitted for use if you had asthma. Something like that anyway and he was never charged for it.

After reading what he said and seeing some of the interview I think he is telling people what they want to hear.

I'm not convinced by what he has said.

Random but interesting point about Armstrong. My uncle James does the executive hire for rock stars, footballers, sports people etc... and of all those he's ever met - including the likes of Elton John, Meatloaf and Kings of Leon the guy he was most in awe of was Lance Armstrong.

He said he has a genuine aura surrounding him only the likes of Muhammed Ali can hold. I'd suspect that now lies in tatters and that must absolutely kill him. In fact it might end up doing.

To me it is like he has come out and admitted everything so he can get on with the rest of his life.

Has me this story I'd say 90% of sportsmen/women have took some form of enhancing drug.

Footballers are even on it.

This story is all ££ for the media and have pushed to give it this "shock" of doping.

:lolwut: ?!

The guy is one of the most famous sportsmen on the planet, who won 7 tour de frances by cheating, and constantly denied it, ruined other peoples lives, and careers by suing, threatening and harassing them until they stopped, or just weren't believed.

He's made a personal fortune from the fact that he "overcame cancer and won without using drugs" and now it turns out he lied for the last 20 years! It's an amazing story of how he's a massive cunt.

And now he's gone on Oprah to "admit" it all without a second of remorse about what he's done and the lives he's ruined, just so that he can try to move on with his life and get what he wants.

It's an amazing story all round tbh.

I personally think he's getting too much time on the TV, who cares, he'll make even more money now to pay back whatever he's sued for.

The thing that puzzles me is, what made him think this wouldn't come out? Everything comes out, especially now everyone is so internet, something which is this big with so many people seemingly knowing about it, he wouldn't get away with denying it forever
