Colin just bloody find another 996 and buy it before people start raging you again
Do not get a non turbo 997 because the internet says it looks better. Unless you just want to pose that is.

You can if you can turn airbags off.
Although always feels safer with kids in the back for some reason.

Thats what the 3 Series is for????
If I didn't have to drive for work i'd be giving the A4 to the missus and i'd be straight in a Cayman/TT or something.

There may be times his girlfriend leaves him in charge of the baby ( ), and if I were him I'm not sure I'd be lending her a 996 turbo.

Ruling a possible dream weekend car out becuase owning it would mean having to use a more than adeuqate everyday car more often? Thats what its there for. Mad imo.
You have the BMW for family trips, a weekend car is not for ferrying the kids around.

Im more thinking when she goes back to work & I need to take kid somewhere. I'd need the beemer leaving Miss Notgiveafuck my pride & joy to take into work, leave in car parks populated by like minded Mr/Mrs Notgiveafucks.
When I say not give a fuck I mean scuffed alloys on a 1 week old car!

There is nothing wrong with putting a baby in the front seats if you can turn the passenger airbag off

Update:
Nearly 2 months of not having a car & sharing the beemer. Its going alright really, only been once when I was wanting a car & it was away, so I just didnt bother going out...simples!!
With no 2nd car to run the savings are rocking up in the fund as well & I'm seeing an abundance of 997TT's for around 40k pop up on PH's. I kind of want to keep going so I can buy outright, I think it makes a lot of sense!!

Perfect sense to me. No point buying a car that isnt the one that you 100% want. Once you get a 997 turbo you are going to be over the moon with that and if you change your mind by the time you get that cash together then at least you've got a very decent bank balance
For the record i like your what car threads even if you dont always buy them, you seem to have the exact taste in cars as me!
