Sure, that would be the case if it was real, it just didn't seem even somewhat believable though, just two blokes shouting at each other to make it dramatic for tv.
The people doing the work were probably paid a one of fee for doing the programme, it's not like they even sold the car at the end anyway.

Yeah of course, if it was more believeable i could understand why they would need a deadline, not just added in for drama/ entertainment.
That bit was ridiculous. Also not really sure why they didn't do the mechanical stuff first and then paint it after? It was just covered in dust and dirt after being left in the garage.
