Just popped on AT and they're like £9k
Would I be stupid to swap a 2010 CTR for a ~2005 Scooby? Maybe I need my own thread

It was the first one I saw to be honest.
Are there any reasons why I shouldn't consider one of these, I love this shape. What's the model(s) to go for?

can pick up an 04 blob sti for circa 6k now.
if you can afford it and want the best then go for a JDM STI , for 8 or 9k you will pick up a superb example

About the only things I would say is if you do a lot of miles then the petrol costs could be high. You're gonna be running it on 98-99 ron fuel so it's dearer anyway. I imagine insurance will be a bit more than your current car too. Other than that, awesome cars, wouldn't of had 3 otherwise. Look after them and they're awesome.

I'm doing about 70miles per week at the moment, all weekend driving gets done in my girlfriends car.
I also run mine on premium unleaded, rightly or wrongly - but I do get 28mpg, and from memory I think Impreza's are low 20's / high teens.
Despite them being my childhood poster car (we couldn't afford Ferrari posters ) I still don't know much about them and the different models, so I may do some research and come back to this.
I feel inspired.

love this shape the best. i think the exterior styling is still very current, so they don't look dated.
the interior is a bit of a letdown, that's my only gripe.
still, can't complain when they look so good on the outside.

Since seeing this thread, I've listed my car for sale on PH, Gumtree and a Civic forum - and also test driven a 55' plate STI Blobeye
Unfortunately, generating interest for the Civic is hard work - but I'll keep at it till' my PH ad' expires. If nothing comes of it, I'll wait until Feb/March when the market is hopefully picking up again and I'll relist on PH and maybe AT (expensive! )
Also enquired at "WeWantAnyCar" but I'm skeptical of their 11k quote on the website. May be worth a visit in the local branch but the trade value for my car is closer to £9k - so hard to believe to be honest.
Definately got a Scooby Itch that needs a scratch!

Those WR1's look ace though, I prefer the interior on those too (black and grey rather than black and blue?)
Does he want a Honda Civic?

Yeah, I guess so. It's definitely worth the extra cash though. I very much doubt there are any better ones out there.
I'm really surprised he's selling it, but he's got a desire for a 911 Turbo/GT3.
