I dont, but christ 3 doors are massive now, my parents managed fine with a MK1 fiesta in the 80's.

I've been reading lots of opinions about people having 3 doors and a baby and they are saying its easier than having a 5 door!? will have to see but it unfortunately has to be a decision that could change what car you end up with.

It is not possible that a 3 door is easier for children!!! It was a mission to get in the back of my vxr just to sit in it, add to that a babyseat its virtually impossible. I couldnt and wouldnt want my mrs doing all that everywhere she went just so i can have 2 less doors on my car lol

One of my best friends has a 335i coupe and they get their 10 month year old in and out fine.

Adjust your crotchfruit mounting technique perhaps?

We got by with a 3 door but there is no doubt a 4/5 door would be easier, especially when it comes to getting the car seat in and out.

Could get one of those digusting Citroen picasso things or a Y reg Zafira with no indicators. every time I see a bloke driving one of those I think "gutted, your life is over mate". Apart from the one and only time I saw a Zafira VXR.

Are you saying that because an Evo/RS4 is a 5dr it's a car that screams you've failed???? Fuck off

Love 5drs ever since owning the Leon.

Before that I was 3dr or nothing because Max Power told me it was cool.

Small hatches look better 3dr, though

evo/rs4/any saloon suits the 5 doors. hatchbacks not as much. imo of course.

The LCR is a hatchback and suits the extra doors more than any other car IMO.

what if they made a 3 door version though? would that look better?

the newer leons have the door handles disguised in the windows, so seat must have thought along the same lines.

I prefer putting my 1 year old into my 197 than my mates 5dr astra you dont have to twist your body as much. 5 doors can look just as good IMO like the mk2 leon that hides the door handle

Must admit the Leon's look great with the hidden handles especially the K1's

Sayyy you had memory seats like a 330i and you went all the way forward and full lean and set it on say number 3 ,could you just push the number 3 each time you want the seat moved forward to put a baby in?

You could in theory have a baby and run a classic mini or the like, its just not going to make things easy, which when your run off your feet most the day sometimes just crave a bit of simplicity.

Me & Mrs packed our kid off to grandparents last night for a few hours so we could have a few hours to enjoy a meal and cinema. I swear to god her bits and bobs filled up the car front to back. I really cant see me being happy loading the car up in the pissing rain in anything less than a exec size saloon.

Actually wish I got a 4x4 so I can just chuck the pram in the back without folding it up.

Exactly. I remember at one point we had a Scirocco when I was younger

A guy at work had a 3 door Punto but the headgasket has gone, so now he's decided that because he's got a second kid on the way, he needed an estate to replace it. Maybe people just take too much extra junk with them these days, who knows. All I know is 3 doors look better on 90% of cars.
