I think the one for sale is a different one to the one that crashed.

If you're wanting a 330 i wouldnt rule them out because of repair costs. It's unlikely anything major will break and when it does there's plenty of breakers out there with cheap parts.

For £7k though i would be tempted with an S-line and if you wanted something faster than could you get an S4 or something in the budget? Wouldnt even think about going for a hot hatch with a 330 or A4 in the list of cars.

Good shout that mate! Didn't know you could get them for that now. I'm still in with the lads from Skoda hence the Fabia VRS.

Don't think I remember them being amazing on fuel though the diesel version however is brilliant but too much ££££

Budget here is 5.5k max BTW guys

On paper the Octavia VRS is an excellent choice.

However if you go and drive a few decent 330's then some Octavias I would be very surprised if you wanted the Octavia.

I'm feeling this also Seth! Watching a 330d on the bay at the moment for near 6k with grey leather

BUT if it breaks it will cost me a lot to fix as I don't know anyone involved in beemers

My mates a master tech for Skoda and has advised me against both Octavia's at the age and mileage I'm looking at he says all sorts start to go wrong inc the DPF on the diesel. He owns a petrol and says around town it's bad on fuel so that's put me off as his last motor was an Evo 7!
