I'd be interested to no the MPG to, I'm on the hunt for one of these at the moment. Seem to offer a really good out the box package with plenty of room for tuning. Were are you based Warren?

totally different kettle of fish to turbo powered cars, its relatively easy to get this sort of power from a turbo powered car, you could get most of that power increase from a remap alone.

I dont think warrens package is particularly overpriced or expensive though

Its a 1.9 cdti 150, with xp pack, lightweight TD alloys, rebranded vxr dampers to 888 with Eibach springs 30mm rear 50mm front, 888 badged exhaust tip(extended so soot clears rear bumper), 888/triple eight badges and text everywhere, 330mm Alcon 4 pot front brakes, remap on sport button, 888 engine cover sticker. Mine also comes with the optional extra Recaro trendline line front seats with more 888/triple eight everywhere inside.

Depends how its treated.

Mine is an everyday comute car, doing 20 000+ miles a year. On 87k clutch and box are both fine.

Clutch is fine, the power is still progressive, It doesnt 'spike' on like some cars can do, you dont feel a suddern rush more smooth push back in your seat if that makes sense!

The car has been mapped for 40k now, I have owed for 20k, and had no issues what so ever with the clutch and gearbox on original standard parts at 125k

Ive been informed these LUK clutchs are good for 400lbft

The First thing i would ever do with these cars is a Remap with EGR Delete, EGR Delete being the key one as they cause sooo many faults

Ah so you can have the standard map and another map on the sports button?

Sort off.

The standard map as such, is a detuned version of the full map of 200bhp and 330lbft. So say 80% throttle is without the sport button on it is 160bhp and say 260lbft, with the sport button on it runs the full map using 100% throttle

Other maps may be different on the sport button, but thats how the 888 works so I believe.

If that makes sense.

I do believe it is impossible to run 2 seperate maps and switching between the 2 on the sport button and it will be set up as above using 1 map. I may be well wrong though.

Ah that makes sense, I know i read some were that it sharpens the throttle or as you say gives 100% throttle.

Looking in to warrens set up (currently looking for a suitable car to purchase)

Just want to get some decent info on maps ect before deciding once I'm ready, 200bhp and decent MPG seems silly not to eh
