I find that a rag damp with petrol's the easiest and cheapest option, then a good polish and wax after.

Seen people say the same with wd40, I just stick to proper methods though.
I just bought the 5l tin, handy if you find anyone who wants some aswell and split it up between you's

Use WD40, cheap, most people usually have it to hand and it causes no damage. Used it for Years to remove Tar

I gave my missus' car a wash today, first clean since we bought it brand new in September

Due to lack of protection on the paint, it's covered in tar spots which are really not shifting. I've got some more Tardis on order - but may give WD40 a try tomorrow just out of interest.

just use petrol

we use that for cleaning the rubber marks off the track cars
