BMW is a no no. Just don't really fancy one. The DC5 looks nice but I've had the ep3 type R and I didn't like the way the car delivered its power. Vtec just isn't my thing lol. It'll deffo need to be turbo'd. I've been lookin all night and its gonna be either the Leon or golf.

The boxter is nice but the wife doesn't like them lol.

I've been in touch with couple of guys on a local site, one has a 370bhp (stage 2+) ed30 and the other a 377bhp Leon cupra. Both have said they'll take me out to help me make my decision so I'm looking forward to it. They're both more powerful than my old Evo so I'm expecting it to be something special.

Have you considered a Mazda 3 MPS? Bloody quick and you'll have a fair bit of change left over from your £10k.

Personally I'd want a Focus phase 2 ST-3 though. Can pick up decent low mileage ones for around the £8k mark.

996 and try and save another grand for one with a gt3 kit on. I would love one and keep thinking about it but then the egine rebuild stories put me off, definetly a car that needs a warranty.

A 996 for 10k......

Yes, I saw the PH article but its hardly a true reflection of the market! Is someone really going to buy a 15yr old Porker with spaceship miles and patchy service history to use as a daily run about?

The Spec C would get my vote, but seems very cheap. BUT would be hardwork to live with daily. Harsh susp, short gearing etc.
