true, although that's only on the newer models and replica wheels.

the older style ones (like the one i posted) are fine.

Clearly not fine though if that's the sort of damage that happens from hitting a kerb at walking pace.

I skelpt a Sparco wheel off a kerb at over 10mph in my MR2, hit the kerb side-on and it put a tiny ding in the wheel.

That bmw wheel looks shit. Has no lip etc. Looks like a hub cap round the edge

I hit a breeze block on the M1 in my first Corsa B. had 17" Team Dynamics on with 205/45's.

Ripped fuck out of tyre, rim had a tiny crack that made it leak air. But to say I hit breeze block at 70mph it held up well
