Yer I should of put it in the first post realy haha
My boss' brother came into work the other day and whilste I was making a brew gave me a lecture on how squeezing a tea bag releases tinning or some shit that makes your brew bitter
He's been on a tea tasting course recently. But I always have and probly always will squeeze my tea bag in my mug with my spoon then with my thumb against the spoon when it's out
Was just wondering what other people's views where haha
That fella's right. It can taste bitter if it get's squeezed.

Squeeze in the mug after leaving it to brew. Milk last so it doesn't clog the tea bag.

There's a fine line when brewing tea, like you can't just leave the tea bag sitting there in still water, you have to keep it moving while brewing imo. I can't drink tea made by some people at work, i just say no thanks and go make my own

Just take it out usually, squeezing it can make it bitter. My mate is a tea connoisseur

Milk first, get an emulsion going with the tea bag and gives a richer taste (due to the fat in the milk); there was also some study that concluded that you should put milk in first as well.
Although you should always 'milk first' if using a tea pot, tea leaves or china cups.

I always thought if you put milk in first with a teabag the fat molecules are too large to filter through the teabag holes properly and it doesn't brew the tea as well, so i do milk last

This is what I do, except instead of using my thumb I do it against the rim of the mug.

Because the tea at work is dire and I dont want to use rancid fresh milk I have to make milk from the skimmed powder, so I have to put powder and sugar in, use a bit of hot water to make sugary milk, and then put the bag in and water to brew, got used to it after a while and it doesnt taste any different now, although Ihave got down to 1 sugar just need to shift the last one!
