I stayed in the royal grand azure and luckily the resort was excellent because outside the resort is a shit hole I won't be going back 
Don't bother with ice bar at soho square it's a con but soho square is worth a visit.

It's a nice hotel mate, they have an awesome coffee bar too. Get a bed next to the poolside bar and you're onto a winner. Great snorkelling off the jetty.

I'd say 4*, definiy not 5* though! If you walk down the sea front to the right at the beach there a great sheesha tent just down from the hotel, first one you get to (If it's the same bloke that runs it, he's from Alexandria I think) real nice chap. Didn't go to any bars outside the hotel. When I was there it was the last hotel on the strip, next door was a building site, was never disturbed by noise though.

Im going to Egypt on Monday.
If you want to do Egypt well you have to spend a lot of money, spend 20 quid each on the whole package and I dare say you will have a shit time. Its common sense.
Oh and this will be my 3rd time without a problem.

you know about the heat before you leave. you know where on earth egypt is located. you know about the shit problem some people have.
yet they still go, then decide to moan about it  morons.
i personally loved it. i sweated like fuck all day and night and loved sampling all the different cuisines.
