A resolution with a horizontal pixel count of about 4000.
It's the next step up from full HD resolution, in a sense.

By which measure?
Sharpness and depths are huge benefits of a higher pixel density. In itself it's not a guarantee for a higher quality display though.

Well, just in terms of how 'better' it is than 'normal' HD.... I guess...

I've not seen 4k, only 8k and it was unbelievable. It was next best thing to being there, that was on a massive screen though.

I've heard about you can't play ps1,2 and 3 games no more aand it's also user lock by games some no more second games coz they lose out on it.

Assuming I've translated that into English correctly
Sony have put the same patent in for every console since the PS1 IIRC
Just because they're patenting something doesn't mean it will definitely be on the PS4

That prototype looks like a mad catz controller although I'm sure it'll get slimmed down

I defiantly do not want a move sensor built into my controller. It's fine as it is!

Why not? Can't see it doing any harm. Based on how well the Move controllers work, I'd be curious as to how it could be utilised by games commonly played with a regular controller.
GT5 showed some interesting ideas with tilting the cockpit view based on facial tracking. I could easily see something similar being implemented with controller tracking.
Mind you it'll be one in fifty games that uses it for anything but a gimmick or solely for quicktime events.

Just for the extra weight and bulkiness of it.

Wouldn't mind the form being slightly less compact than the DualShock, personally.
As for the weight I can't see it making much difference. Certainly doesn't need to be lighter.
There's no arguing, that whatever they do, replacing the DualShock is going to upset a lot of people.

Hopefully the DualShock3 will be compatible, that way everyone is happy.

I would have expected SSD's for the next gen consoles, they aren't too expensive now days and it would boot up instantly and reduce loading times.
Ps4 controller looks interesting

So the new console(s) will be released just after the release of the long awaited Grand Theft Auto 5............seems a stupid move.
