Nobody watch 'To Catch A Predator?', it's an American programme so the law might be different here, but they pretend to be young girls and agree to meet up, and the police arrest him when he comes.

They use the chat logs as evidence, to prove that he knew the girl's age and that he was coming over with the intention of having sex.

Agreed, but it is also entrapment.

If the guy is hanging around in young chat rooms, its one thing, but if he's been randomly approached, baited and led down the garden path its another.

Its hard to say its entrapment as we don't know the circumstances of how he began chatting to the '15' year old and because its not the Police doing it.

The Police in this country do carry out these sorts of operations and they're careful to make sure that it is legal.
